Have you ever noticed how easily optimistic people seem to navigate the hard days? 

 While you feel like you're drowning in misery during your hard days, your colleague is still smiling and cracking jokes.

 It's infuriating, isn't it? 

 For some reason, when we have hard days, we want everyone to share our misery. Maybe it's the idea that a problem shared is a problem halved. Or maybe we just want someone to wallow with us for a minute. 

 Either way, those are human responses to difficulty. Optimism is a far more effective way to proceed, though. When you learn to reframe situations and find the positives, it makes it much easier to navigate hard days.
